ZAWA CELEBRATES PAITISHAHEM GAHAMBAR
On 14 February 2009 (Valentine's Day), ZAWA celebrated the 'Paitishahem Gahambar'. A Jashan Ceremony was organised by the ZAWA Committee, performed by Ervad Aspi Madan and was attended by quite a few members of the community, despite it being Valentine's Day. Kids and adults took great interest.
After the Jashan Ceremony, a 'Humbandagi' (Group Prayer) was held and also a one minute silence paying homage to the victims of the recent Victorian fires.
Chairman Pervez, then gave a short talk on the 'Paitishahem Gahambar', after which individuals and families payed their respects to the holy fire.
Together with the 'Chashni', everyone was asked to bring a plate, which served as a community dinner after the prayers.
